The New York Guggenheim Museum currently presents the exhibition “All” from Maurizio Cattelan, which promises to display absolutely everything that the Italian artist has created in the way of sculptures, installations, photography and paintings. The non-conformist is not only famous for his art that tips over from the humorous into the tragic, but equally for his radical and uncompromising manoeuvres. It seems befitting that, coinciding with the opening of “All”, Cattelan announced his withdrawal from the art world. The accompanying book to the exhibition deals with the artist’s oeuvre meticulously and guides us through each of his works in a chronological list from “Untitled” (1989) to “We” (2010).
